This is a round-up of news and announcements related to the Scheme programming language, mostly taken from newsgroups, mailing lists and web sites that I'm aware of. Feel free to send me more. The aim is to publish in multiple formats on the web each week, but more on that very soon.
Metro-Schemers SIG's November meeting
Metro-Schemers SIG's 20 November meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about the functional/declarative language Scheme. There is no cost for this event! Students and non students are welcome.
SISC is a Java-based interpreter of Scheme, extensible and with high performance. This release candidate fixes several bugs in the optimiser and S2J handling of primitive types.
GNU TeXmacs is a free software scientific document processor with a WYSIWYGish interface. It is inspired by GNU Emacs and LaTeX. This version contains a new documentation system and some interface improvements for Greek letters, Axioms and table borders.
