This is a round-up of news and announcements related to the Scheme programming language, mostly taken from newsgroups, mailing lists and web sites that I'm aware of. Feel free to send me more. The aim is to publish in multiple formats on the web each week, but more on that very soon.

ICLP'03 Call for participation
The International Conference on Logic Programming will take place in Mumbai (Bombay), India, 9-13 Dec 2003. The programme includes 23 presentations and 4 invited talks.
The 20th International Conference on Logic Programming will take place 6-10 September 2004 in Saint-Malo, France. They have issued their first call for papers.
Chicken is a Scheme-to-C compiler. This release includes "many, many bugfixes", support for C++ compilers, an ffi wrapper generator for C and C++ header files and an r5rs mode. This version also makes the reader case-sensitive by default, so beware existing code.
SSAX and SXML is a Scheme API for XML. This is Kirill Lisovsky's package for PLT 205, containing the parser and some tools.
